Protect the Piedmont: Stop Toxic Mining

There are no regulations for large-scale uranium mining in the eastern states like Virginia. Our dense population and wet climate risks our health and our waterways to radioactive contamination.

Let the General Assembly know they must keep the moratorium on uranium mining indefinitely.

Sign the petition: A real assessment of the risk and benefits of uranium mining in Virginia does not exist. The hazards of toxic materials contaminating our state and ruining our health are too great. The General Assembly must keep the moratorium on uranium mining to keep Virginians safe from a devastating industry.
