America, we can harness the wind and sun to power our future and leave
dirty, dangerous energy behind. We’re calling on the president-elect
and Virginia congressional delegation to renew America with 100
percent clean, renewable electricity and to cut our dependence on oil
in half.

From Election Day to the Inauguration, we'll work with the next president and Congress to repower America, and to commit to passing legislation that:
- Requires that America generate 100 percent of its electricity from clean sources such as wind and solar power;
- Cuts our dependence on oil in half; and
- Reduces heat-trapping global warming pollution at least 80 percent by 2050.
The oil and coal companies are fighting to stay the course: ExxonMobil and other big energy companies are spending millions on political contributions, ads and lobbyists to keep us on the wrong path—pushing more of the same old polluting policies.
