Together with our allies across the country, we’ve delivered more than 800,000 comments to the EPA in support of strong clean air standards. Further, here in Virginia, dozens of activists showed their support for cutting carbon pollution at a forum put on by Environment Virginia and key allies.

Solar power is on the rise across the country. The United States has more than 200 times as much solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity installed today as it did in 2002. America’s major cities are helping to lead this clean energy revolution. Forward-thinking local governments and large cities in leading states are benefiting from smart policies that encourage investment in solar PV installations and the growth of local jobs.

Environmental Groups Launch Virginia #ActsOnClimate

Virginia may not yet be known as a clean energy leader, but many municipalities are pursuing ambitious clean energy and carbon reduction goals, and should be applauded for their efforts. A coalition of environmental groups have launched a new local campaign, Virginia Acts on Climate, a multi-month series that will showcase through events and features, areas in which local governments, businesses, and citizens are already taking action to curb their carbon pollution and invest in cleaner energy.
