Victory at last for Washington’s Wild Sky Wilderness

On April 10, the U.S. Senate passed a bill that will permanently protect the Wild Sky Wilderness area of Washington State. This area contains black bears and bald eagles that tourists travel thousands of miles to see. It also includes some of the last remaining lowland forests that act as important corridors for wildlife habitat. Thanks to the leadership of Senators Murray and Cantwell, and Rep. Larsen, these forests will be around for the enjoyment of generations to come.
